Carson joined the OEC Forensics team in 2013 as a field technical assistant and has since graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography focusing on Geospatial Sciences. Carson has also obtained a GIS Certificate from CU Denver to operate as a geospatial analyst, as well as FAA licensure to operate commercial remote aircraft. Carson utilizes GPS and various types of geographic data to analyze collision events, manage assets, and provide mapped visual products.

As the Director of UAS and Geospatial Operations for OEC, Carson is responsible for utilizing OEC’s small unmanned aircraft to provide accurate, high quality aerial data for clients in a variety of photographic, scaled 3-dimensional, and video forms.  Carson is also certified by the University of Colorado Denver to perform analyses of geographic data utilizing Geographic Information System software and analysis disciplines for a variety of mapping, data management, and event timing analysis needs. Carson is also certified to use FARO HDS laser scanners and post-processing software for creating 3D point clouds for various investigative documentation purposes.
